OIL SLUDGE CLOGGING OIL LINE

Good morning we have a 2000 Jaguar with the oil alarm going off 4 times and then turning off and then it goes off again several minutes later . We figured out that it's drawing oil from the reserve and the big  tank is not filling the reserve to the safe level of shutting the alarm off . We disconnected the oil lines and blew them out and a sludge like substance came out of the oils lines.  Is there an additive I can add to the oil tank to break the existing oil down so that it goes through the oil lines like its supposed too or do I need to empty the big oil tank and clean it somehow . We are using QuickSilver Synthetic blend 2 stroke oil the motor is a 2000 Optimax 225 . Thanks in advance for you help & comments
