My PII has a three bank charger. Check out the Stealth charger for on-the-run charging of your trolling batteries. You can add it to an existing set up.

Stay away from the stealth………………If you want a charger that will charge your batteries off of your truck while you are driving to the lake and off your boat motor while you are driving down the lake look into a http://www.stayncharge.com they have a lot more safetys built in so you wont have all the overheating problems like a stealth.

Whatever you do stay with the conventional AC chargers like Cul M Rite Pro Pak, Dual Pro, Guest, etc. If the “on the run” chargers were all that then you would see one on every boat and Im not sure theyre all that! Most battery chargers provide less than average reliability, but those mentioned here at least offer fantastic customer service. Ive had a handful of Cul M Rite Pro Paks through the years and have experienced zero failures. However, they too fail at times.

Im not sure where the stay away from Stealth comment came from, but I”ve been running one in my boats for the past several years, and Ive not had one minutes problem from any of them. They work as advertised, and their customer service, if you need it, is second to none. I have run it with Optimax 225s and 250s, in 36 volt, 3 battery systems, and it has not given me a minutes problem. Ive fished 2 and 3 days, hard, and never plugged up the AC charger. I will be the first to agree that if you make only very short runs, and stay on the trolling motor hard for hours, then the benefit will be less, but it still gives you options that no other system that I”ve seen does. It certainly outperforms the Stay N Charge system, based on my experience.I will also tell you that there are more than a few Elite pros running Stealth ProPak systems, so they obviously can get the job done.My comments, based on my experience, over the past 5 years.Mike Whitten

Stealth also has the cable option that hooks up to your tow truck. The design engineer / owner of Stealth is a subject matter expert when it comes to batteries. We run them and do not have a problem.

I bought a Stealth ProPak when they first came out. I installed it on my 1997 Jaguar/225 Mercury. I to have NOT had one minute of any problems. I have never had to plug in a AC Charger.Marion Bass
