P2/4 blade fury

I actually put one on my boat this weekend for a tourney. I have a 2015 P2 with a Optimax 200 motor. I was running a 3 blade fury 25 pitch and wanted to try the 4 blade 25 pitch for the tourney loads and here was my before and after….-3 blade Fury fully loaded, 2 big guys, full tank of gas……hole shot is really good until I get the live wells filled and usually lose 5mph in speed…typically I run around 70 prior to live wells -4 blade Fury same as above….hole shot is a little better as well as getting up to speed, it seems to get to top speed quicker…I was still hitting right under 70 so I lost maybe 1mph top speed but the real noticeable difference is when I got the live wells full, I was still hitting the high 68s so I gained a good 2-3mph and was able to get on plane so much quicker with the live wells full….Overall it does exactly what it is advertised to do…..really like it on my P2

Forgot to mention that I also didnt have any issues with loading the boat like I did with my four blade Trophy Plus……totally off subject but for me the Trophy just wasnt a good prop…a good 5mph less top end speed than the fury…this is the prop that came with my boat…it is the back up to the backup now

I am thinking of trying a Fury 4 on my Sabre FTD. I currently have a 25 Trophy Plus. I find it does very well, but wondered whether the Fury 4 would give a better hole shot and bow lift at slower speeds.The Trophy does well even with Live wells full. Loading the trailer could be better.

That much loss of performance in a loaded boat and unloaded is due to the engine being too high usually. Dropping the engine should put it within 1-3 MPH with the livewells loaded. The 4 blade Fury is not as efficient we found as the Trophy, though does load better. We found that dropping one inch of pitch on the Trophy accomplishes the same performance and hole shot is similar.

I guess the best prop on the p2 must still be the fury 3 ? At least thats what I believe the factory is putting on them. I guess I will leave well enough alone. Thank you
