Mine did the same thing, right around the drain at the base of the bench seat. I took mine to a fiberglass shop that ended up cutting out the entire floor (it was all starting to get soft) and replacing with a Coosa floor. I had to strip all the carpet off and clean before they would touch it, but it only cost me $500 to have it done. Whoever you take it to may be able to cut out a small portion of the floor if its just a small area getting soft. I felt better having all of mine re-done. Either way, youll probably have a hard time finding matching carpet. I think BCB parts has some carpet left from the 95s, but they didnt have my color. Its worth a call to BCB parts if you dont want to recarpet the whole thing. Im sure youve already found out that theyll do anything they can to help you out.As an aside…Im having the same issue on some of my lids, around each of the latches. When I recarpeted the boat, I noticed that some of the lids had deteriorating wood where the hole for the latch was. I think, over time, they slowly soak up water and it rots the wood that is encapsulated in the fiberglass. I tried to fill any gaps from deteriorating wood w/ a putty and then I caulked the hole before I re-installed the latches. Its been over a year since I did that, and they dont seem to be getting any worse, so hopefully theyll last a few more years until I can get a new Puma!
