The P4 is a great boat, and will satisify the most discriminating fishermans needs, BUT it is 200HP rated, sooo the 225E-Tech is outta the question ! Good luck, D.

P IV IS ONLY RATED FOR 200 HP. AS BASSCAT HAS SAID, IN THE 200HP AND DOWN SIZES, ALL 3 OB MAKERS HAVE A VERY GOOD PRODUCT. IT BASICALLY COMES DOWN TO BUYERS CHOICE. I HAVE ONLY RAN EFI, NOT OPTI, THOUGH I HAVE ACCESS TO A COUGAR FTD/250XS( NOT PRO XS), AND THE OPTI PERFORMS WELL. THE ETEC HAS BEEN DEVELOPING A BASE AS WELL. YAMAHA IS PRETTY SOLID AS WELL. OK. P IV IS A VERY BIG PLATFORM, FISHES LIKE THE 20 FOOTERS AT THE TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN.. WONT BE THE SPEED DEMON THAT THE P II OR PANTERA CLASSIC IS, BUT YOU WONT BE LAST OR HAVE A WET RIDE IN THE ROUGH STUFF. I agree with jignpig and dbasketman abuout the PIV. Very nice boat with a great ride and great fishing platform. Cant hardly go wrong. I reallllly like mine.

The P4 isnt a race boat,,,but is a far cry from a slouch either, and carries a load better than anything ive been in. Properly set up the P4 will perform in the low 70s with a moderate/light load, and in the high 60s with a full tournament load and livewells. That aint bad at all, and will absolutely smoke most rigs in the rough water ! It is, IMHO, the most versatile boat BCB builds at this time, D.
