Id recommend looking it up off your serial number. https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/parts-and-accessories/parts-catalog go there put it in, pick out 250 pro xs. then go to “vapor separator components”… its the cartridge type that screws in top. Part # I came up with without a serial number for your boat is 8M0020349, OR QUICKSILVER 8M0122423… Some people will take that castle like fixture loose with a screw driver, I bought the tool. I think I got the fuel filter and wrench both on amazon and it was pretty cheap! Also that tank needs to be drained and possibly cleaned some, when you get the filter out theres a water sensor make sure it doesnt have any gunk stuck to it, I used a mighty vac brake bleeder and vacuumed off all the fuel in the tank/ cleaned that sensor a bit with some brake parts cleaner.
