pedestal lube

I have been using a little vasoline on the bottom of the pedestal and base and a little oil on the top telescoping part. I have used 3&1 which does not seem to last very long. Anything better?

Nope, nothing better than vasoline, also use in youre light sockets, battery posts, and trailer ball !

That will work jsut fine and the length of life is acceptable. You can let it dry up some and it is also water protective.

I already use it on my battery posts and it cuts the crud to nothing! I did not think about the other uses but will slobber some on!

What I meant was I use my finger to put on a light coating. And one small jar will last me for years. Just like my reels just enough and no more.
