PII Vs PIII

I have a 2002 P3 and love it. Mine has the deck extension giving me more room on the front deck. Boat handles rough water really well. Only con is no rear storage.

I would probably choose a P3, though that is going to be a tough find as most owners are proud of them. Fantastic rough water riding boat. One of the first Bass Cats I ever rode in was a P3 and it rode better than my 21 foot T boat! Pretty quick too. Low to mid 70s with a 200.

I have a P3 and my only complaint is the 200 has a little trouble with the hole shot with the tanks and wells full. Other than that rides like a dream, faster than most boats with a 225, very stable fishing platform.

Both are great boats, though the P-III is going to have all fiberglass construction and some of the early P-IIIs were built with some of the best vinyl-ester resins ever.Otherwise, similar ride and layouts, but the hull is different on the P-III, perhaps BC could elaborate.

I changed my prop to a Mark Croxton 24P Razor 3 and my holeshot drastically improved.

I have owned both and love my P-111 that I have now. With the deck ext it fishes as big as my buddys 21 R-Boat and will run low to mid 70s . I just wish I had time to use it.

Thanks for the info will think of these comments while searching, will also conisider a P Classicand may even look at a Sabre but like the 19 footers

In the year models you are looking at it is no comparison P3 all the way! I have owned a 91 P2 and and in late 2000 I followed a P3 on Toledo Bend and boy was it rough, he was the P3 was breaking the waves for me and I still took a whipping, I told my partner that when we got home I was ordering a P3 he said yeah right! You should of seen his face a few months later when I showed up with my P3 that I ordered 3 days after I got home, I dont think I will ever get rid of it.
