Mine did the same thing last year. Had air in the hydirolics. Take to your dealer. They should know how to get it out.

As mentioned above; could be air in the system. Probably need to check for leak/seepage at all connections and at the ends of the hydraulic cylinder at the front of the motor. These will cause air in the system and likely require a trip to the dealer.Also check the attach point where the arm from the cylinder attaches to the motor. That hardware can loosen and cause the problem. Simple fix if that is the cause.C.

Or any marine shop that has the hydraulic steering bleeding machine. Makes a big difference getting the air out

Thanks. Took cap off fill hole and could not see any fluid. Plan to fill. Dealer said c a n hold finger over hole after filling and turn wheel all the way both directions to manually bleed the air. Hope it works.

Where did the fluid go? The boat/motor doesnt consume steering fluid. You have a leak and it will only get worse. Take it to a shop and get it fixed.

Probable leak at the ram unit on the motor . — Rebuild kit was about a hundred bucks if memory serves me . — Bleeding was a bit of fun to get it right , but it wasnt that bad . — Hoss
