Hello all. It is getting close to our annual walk a thon for tuberous sclerosis. Last year I posted on here and had a tremendous amount of support from dealerships and individuals and I really appreciated it. The TS Walk A Thon in Houston Tx is held every mothers day weekend. My wife and I have been involved for the past 4 years and we have raised over 60000.00 for TS research. Why do we do this. Because our son Corbin, is affected with this genetic defect. He was diagnosed at 6 months old due to uncontrollable seizures called infintile spasams. Typically these are devasating for babies but by the GRACE of God Corbin stopped having these after 5 days. He then began having drop seizures which cause him to loose all muscle tone on the right side of his body and he will fall to the ground like a sack of potatoes. He has 5 or 6 brain tumors called tubers that are seizure generators. Thankfully, after several years of medication and seeing the wonderful doctors in Dallas Corbins seizures are controlled by medication. Tumors can grow pretty much anywhere on these kids, face, back, kidneys, heart, eyes and finger tips. Many of the children have learning disabilites, developmental delays and autism. We are doing all we can to raise money in support of a cure for this defect. If you can find in your heart to help us out we would really appreciate the support. Listed below is the offical website where you can view more information about Corbin and sponsor me to walk. http://ecommunity.tsalliance.org/NETCOM … frsid=1431 You do not have to donate online. You can send a check if you would like. Several folks sent checks to us last year. Again, thank you all for your generostiy. If you have any question feel free to ask. One other note, in addition to supporting this wonderful cause your contribution is 100% tax deductible.
