Ill be headed to fish the bfl regional on the mississippi the first week of october.Should be a whole mew world for me not ever being on the river before.I hope there is some fish in those pads.

Danny,I mainly fish 9, 12, 13, and 14 pools. Have a good friend that fishes 19 really, really well. Won his federation classic last year there. By first of October, the pads and other main weeds will likely be gone. Fish will be relating to ditches with timber and deep water access from the backwaters to the main channel. This is a great fishery.The fish are at the mouth of the backwatersNo water in Boston Bay or Spring Slew.Large small mouth in the current. Fish with small with tube or narrow profile brown and copper craw.Big blacks – slow roll a spinner bait down wood and dont be afraid to throw in there 4 or 5 times.Check out area behind the damTim
