Post on Motor Toter with image of toter roller end

Im new to this forum and a new BassCat owner. I bought my new Cougar Advantage Elite in August from Parkway Marine in Tallahassee Fl. This forum is what sold me on BCB and this dealer was just great. Added options I wanted without additional expense to me. And on top of that BCB sent me a $500.00 gift certificate. Have ordered and received equipment. Thanks guys. Have only had one problem with boat. First trip out front depthfinder would not read bottom. Seems front puck would not work. Dealer had that fixed with trolling motor mount next day. That is service. I have one question--my transom saver is a Marpac. Each time I place motor-Yamaha 225 V Max series 2-on saver and let motor down it wants to move unless I pull it down tight. Then when I get to location the saver is so tight on the motor that I have to beat it off with a hammer. The plastic bushings that protects the motor foot are compressed almost to the metal on the transom saver. Anyone had this problem. Dealer says this is largest model made. The transom saver that BCB suggests is the full length version and they do not recommend the shorties.

You need to cut a small piece of carpet to fit on your lower unit before attaching the transom saver. Some guy’s just use a rag. I’ve been doing this for years without any problems. Will make taking the transom saver off a lot easier and keep from scratching the paint too.

You need to cut the long transom saver on one side to avoid busting the center light on the three-light strip on the back of the trailer.
