Can someone tell me what is the clearance needed with the 8 pro pole on a 2010 Puma with a Mercury 250 XS. Going to build a garage for the new boat I am ordering. just curious of the door height needed. Will it stick up past the light pole, or is the light pole higher.
Top of the pole is 84″. That is with a hyd jackplate all the way down. Door needs to higher than that to clear without lowering the pole as you back in.Last edited by Joey on May 7th, 2010, 7:56 pm, edited 1 time in total.
In the towing position with an 8″ D/W jack plate, will it clear an 8 door without having to move it.Just back in and pull out. I seem to be getting more Senior moments at 4 AM, or after a long day out. The less needed to remember the better.
Lots of variables here but I would lean toward no. I went with a 10 garage door and it wasnt a lot more money and clearance isnt even close to being an issue. I have heard of people keeping a remote in the truck to lower/raise it to get into and out of their garages.
