Does anyone know why it was recommended it be separate from the main power cut-off (not the console power switch), and home run to the battery ?I thought that I answered your question in my above post, but I guess that I was not clear, so I will try again. That main cut off switch that you are referring to in the battery compartment also contains a breaker that protects the boat wiring. It is termed a “switchable” breaker because you can shut it on and off. BCB sizes and rates that particular breaker for the devices at the boats console, and a few other accessories that you can add later, but they must must be low amperage draw (graphs, stereo) because of the rating of the breaker. It is never intended to be used for devices that draw a lot of amps, like the power pole pumps. If you hook the poles up through that breaker, you will likely run into electrical problems. I hope that is a better explanation.Last edited by catdude28 on March 13th, 2016, 5:28 pm, edited 1 time in total.
