1. Get 8 footers. 2. Get 2 if you can and I know you can afford it. 3. One was great, 2 is awesome. As for which series to get sport, sign, or blades, refer to #2As for the hole shot and top speed I dont care. Not enough difference for me. I am more impressed that I can position my boat anyway in any condition. Flow, wind, or just launching the boat and not having to tie up. The new “C” monster control is the bomb. I can control speed, and I can control one pole or two poles. Youve seen me, hasnt slowed me down much.Last edited by Joey on December 12th, 2012, 2:48 pm, edited 1 time in total.
I just worry about the holeshot. Mine is 5-6 seconds when its hot and boat is full and 2 guys. Worry I gotta get a 24 fury for August.C.O.D. Jr. III

No q there!C.O.D. Jr. III
Get the damn things Ward. I tossed all the questions for a year. Im never lookin back. No self respecting rich ass redneck river rat should be without these tools. Now get up off that check book, buy a set before the end of the year, and tell your accountant how to figure out that you HAD TO HAVE THESE to conduct business.
Holeshot is a little delayed. Especially with the 25 lbs Im usually totin in the live well. Just kidding it takes me around ten seconds when its hot and Im full of fuel and live wells, partner, etc but Im using a 27 fury. Need to go to 26 during summerbut just wont do it. I dont think theyve really affected me top end as much as the fourth battery and big troller. Im happy with my setup though all these things arent costing me but 1 mph and Im willing to sacrifice that. Never caught one at 79. But I have poled down on one for twenty five minutes in a 25 mph wind.
Basket has a dang good point. He dont care about hole shot and them poles would be smokin with them new rims!. I guess if I was you guys, I would be worried about a hole shot too. I mean riding around with 16lbs of green monsters that I caught in the first 20 minutes of a derby and had nothing else to do all day….I guess then I would have some time to worry about it!You crack me up! Just get em!
Go with the Minn Kota Talons…so you dont have all that Hydraulic weight in the compartment and they are easier to take off for the times you want to remove them.
Ok fished the other day with a guy who had dual blades…..Dammit…thats gonna cost me some money-So concerns are-#1) Hole shot about 5-6 seconds in the summer with gas and water(250HO with 25 fury)#2) Pole weight and dragQuestions-#1) Should I get 2 6 sigs?#2) Will 14# increase on 2 8 blades make a difference?DankaC.O.D. They have them on hydrilla gear but they are only offered in 4 and 6 ft models
On the FAQ on power poles web site it said you could still get older models to match from them.
Thanks for the info guys. I need to find a 8 Signature Series in red. Ill call Power Pole tomorrow for details. Thanks jpace for that info!……..
instead of all this, why not just all them. Seems the easiest way to find out
