Powerpole bracket question

What size bracket does the factory use for an 8ft PowerPole on a 2010 Puma FTD with a Detwiler jack plate? I thought I read in an older post that someone used an 8-6, but Im curious what the factory uses. Thanks.

This all changed recently and we dont know the new number as the factory recently went to strictly the dual braced 10 brackets.

Pete Told me to get the PK-2-6 for Detweiler or Slidemaster applications and 8 poles. He said that is what is used by the factory. That was at the end of December. Last edited by NCStatefan on January 18th, 2013, 4:39 pm, edited 1 time in total.

We are telling you that this all changed in November and Pete may not have been aware. He is in parts and service, not manufacturing and often this drifts to them as they do not sell or install these parts. Too many memos to inform those unattached of every move. We would be reading memos 24/7 and meeting to update the other 24/7. BCB

All of the dual brace brackets look like they are side mounts and dont fit the Detwiler. Maybe someone will be along that has a similar set up to mine and has the part number.

Just bought 2 used poles with brackets from Brech marine, brackets were the PK 8-6 and they put the pole way to far away from the boat for me. I told Brech what I was looking for, I wanted to keep close to hull to avoid drag and also keep the weight close to the boat. I have a puma with slidemaster, I wanted the side mount and they sent me the S-2-2 and they are perfect for me. Short brackets, should prevent vibration.

Ive got the 8-6 on my Detwiler and have had zero problems so far. What are dual brace brackets? Anybody got a pic and will they fit a Detwiler?

If you will call PP they will tell you on the phone. Too many options on retrofits for BCB often.C.O.D. Jr. III

I just figured out the bracket is the weak spot for the whole system. It doesnt like to do a lot of heavy “yard work”

Ward is right as they flip brackets and options around on offset and style. We like the double brackets on newer installs, though your Detwiler will be needing some form of sandwich bracket.
