What I dont understand is Basscat does not display a MRSP that I am aware of. So I cant see a potential conflict of used price versus new price. We have NADA. However, you have to enter data per that boat and there is really no way like a vehicle ( miles ) to adjust that. I know they have low, retail type price. But these can vary quite a bit. i wish some one would let us know all the issues with price listing. I would think that calling and texts would be much more with possible non serious buyers if price is not listed. A reasonable ( I say that tongue and cheek) would look at a price and say …..kind of out of my price range….wont bother them. I welcome comments. Its fairly simple to get a price on a boat. More simple today than it was even 5 years ago or so. If you see a boat that doesnt have a price listed, and you have interest in that particular boat, then text or email. If the price is higher than what you want to pay, make an offer if youre really interested. The seller can either say yes or no. Period! Same goes for a brand new boat at a dealership. The dealership gives you a price, you counter, and its either yes or no. You cant use NADA to a “T” for most as it doesnt account for all the electronics, power poles, jackplates, and other options that you can put on one.You can use NADA for a base price, but unless you already know the market, then the base price can be useless. Using NADA doesnt always account for the additional equipment added. For instance, there is a range between $300 and $3000 on one fishfinder alone. You have to determine what all the “add on” equipment is and what the value of those are to you. There are also difference in prices between regions of the country. Theres a difference between Arkansas prices and California prices. MSRP on anything isWORTHLESS!! So why bother. If youre in the market, youve looked enough, and youve reached out for used prices from private sellers and new prices from dealers, then you know what is and what isnt in your price range. Its as simple as that.Lastly all boats are sold through dealerships. You cant buy directly from Bass Cat so you can put that to rest.So which boat/s do you have interest in? Im sure someone here with knowledge of the market can tell you the approximate value.
