Pro Air Question

Hey guys, I was playing with my livewells the other day on 99 P3 and noticed something. I have 3 inlets into my livewells. I have 2 spraybars on each side and a small "nozzle" looking thing that sprays a narrow stream of water straight down. I got curious and was seeing which switch did what. My Pro Air Water In button sprayed out of one of the bars, my aerator out of the spray bar. The recirc came out of the "nozzle". Is this normal? Nope, someone has reversed the plumbing on the hoses. The spray bars are Aeration and Recirculation and the nozzle is the Freshwater in ProAeration. It should work as is, though you will get better aeration if right. BCB

Yes and No, If the right pump is running it has to be hoses swapped. Some folks who fished competitively did this on purpose, though there was no reason. BCB

I havent really looked into it, but it looked like all the pumps were the same. I dont know which pump is supposed to do what. What is the Proaeration supposed to do anyway? With that nozzle it looks like it is just to fill the wells up faster and add freshwater when you need it.1999 Pantera III 1999 200 Opti 25P Tempest Minn Kota Maxxum 70 2 Pinpoint 7520s

Exactly, the pro air is to fill the wells quicker and pump out to help cull while on the water. the recirculator should blow thru the spraybars, as well as the aerator, while the fill and pumpout should be more of a straight inlet into the livewell, and dump off the transom for pumpout. D.

The “nozzle” style is the Pro Aeration, and that is the one on the rear of the boat which pumps in fresh water. BCB

Thanks guys. Sure enough, the hoses were swapped by the previous owner. I swapped them back to original. I like the idea of having the recirc run through the sparybars and I imagine the proaeration will probably fill the wells up faster now.1999 Pantera III 1999 200 Opti 25P Tempest Minn Kota Maxxum 70 2 Pinpoint 7520s
