Pro Pack III charger

How long does Bass Cat warranty the on board chargers . I have a 08 Cougar and my battery charger is not charging on 2 banks, it goes from red to green on low batteries in a matter of minuets and the #1 bank still didnt charge in 12 hous . What other kind of charger can I get that will fit in the tight area in the back of my boat with a 4 battery setup? I would like a 4 bank charger if I have to buy a new one. Thanks

These are smart chargers, so if your batteries are down below a certain level, they may not charge. Since they are internal, and used in garages and homes they have some fail safe features to prevent issues.Try bouncing the battery with a manual charger and then reconnecting the Pro Pack III to see if it functions. The present train of thought at BCB Is more towards three banks with a second support charger for the cranking battery as a stand alone. They use a similar system in the Vision Group models and it has been a pretty reliable and sensible setup. BCB

What company makes pro pack chargers ? They have a in line fuse and I had one break on me while I was checking them I want to know what size the fuse is . Do they have a warranty ?Last edited by jigging on June 26th, 2010, 1:39 am, edited 2 times in total.

http://www.basscatstore.com/propakiii.aspx. This shows the manufacturer, Cul-m-rite. Apparently has a 3 yr warranty, which the paperwork should be with your other information pieces in the packet you get, if you bought the boat new. This is a vendor item, as the warranty is through the manufacturer.Try the charging that BC recommended and also here is the contact info for the battery charger…http://www.culmrite.com/. Noco is the company that owns the charger. It is now called Genius. Same charger as the Pro Pak. The owner of Pro Pak sold out to Noco. Your batteries may be the problem and not the charger as BCB suggested.http://www.geniuschargers.com/

I appreciate the help guys I will check the batteries in the morning when I get off work I charged one on a separate charger yesterday I will check it back on the pro pack . The mechanic that changed my powerhead at Cabelas tested it today and said he thought it was the charger thats why I was asking about the warranty.

If the batteries are low, the will not charge. If the batteries were low, they would not have passed a stress test either.
