Man, Where to start on this one? We wish your decisions on your rig had been a better purchase and we really appreciate that you like the fishing platform. Your being very gracious for the amount of trouble you have had and we certainly wish we could have gotten involved sooner. There are Bombardier (Evinrude) Reps in your area and we definitely would have involved them in the process. While your boat issues seems to be more small frustrations, there are other complications that seem to just create a pile on effect. We sympathize with your situation. While a 2007 model is a bit off in the age, the service department would still give a bunch of effort to work and resolve your issues. We would ask for Pete next week and let him start the process. No doubt you do deserve some attention, though we cant say what the decision will be. It would be hard to address each individual situation though on our side we definitely will try. And we are going to break it down for somewhat from your post. We are surprised that this is your first post on the Owners Board and this is what the board is for. Though we would hope you to have contacted us sooner. > Your BCB Issues: the gel coat on the top rail appeared to have blemishes as if it was paint overspray. I was told that if I purchased the boat they would contact the representative and see what he advised. I contacted Basscat and eventually I was told that if after pictures were taken that they felt it could be took back to AR to be inspected if I wished. >my stickers began to peel off the side of the boat>my compartment lights began to quit working one by one>I have also noticed some chipping of the fiberglass at the bottom near the drain holes. >a faulty brake solenoid.>cracking of the clear lighted railing on each side of my boat> The Basscat “family” seems to have a tremendous following and was very generous in 2008 when I fished the owners invitational, even though someone hit my trailer while I was there and damaged my fender.>These are apparently your BCB issues and we feel the gel coat would still be able to be addressed. Though they have one in Tennessee on the incoming list still to bring in that has a small blemish. The owner has been more than patient. We have tried to work within their time frame, however they too want to spend time on the water. Getting the schedules together has been hard and that is apparently a challenge for you as well to this point. We feel now you may be more willing to let them have a crack at it. The Gelcoat we can not comment, though they would prefer to see that in house again as mentioned. The Brake solenoids BCB has been very vocal about and they do have a failure rate on all trailers. These are the same on all systems and this was a BCB negative on disc brakes they disliked. Though the consumer wants disc brakes and you have them. The decals we have altered vendors on for years off and on trying to improve, and they would most likely and gladly cooperate with you still. Compartment light issues are often only a ground issue, and the newer ones do have the touch switch, though yours were grounded through the lid and hinge. The loosening mounting screws often were the cause of the loss of ground. Then there are a few that have a failing mercury switch and those must have a potted mercury switch to easiest replace the non working ones. As for the fiberglass chipping around a drain hole, this we dont know about and you indicate it has only recently started, however we do feel they would look at this also. As for the lighted rails we have had pretty good luck overall and while these are a really neat feature with cool all over them. There have been a few which have had cleaners and silicone on them that have had exterior crazing. The experience at the Owners Invitational you seem to have enjoyed, even though you came away with a damaged fender from someone impacting your trailer. We hope you come back again and we would think it would be a great opportunity to get a few things taken care of easily. Obviously major things can not be addressed, though minor issues we would do our best on. So we do hope you make it to Mountain Home this year. > within 6 months ALL 3 had to be sent back to Lowrance>We cant comment on Lowrance and apparently yours are all working now, though during this time frame we too have more frustrations with the components than we can express here. If yours are not working then we would still defer you to the Lowrance hot line and please visit with them on your issues. Though we get the feeling from your post you have not had a problem in some time. > Two heads, three lower units, two spun props and one starter later >We can get in touch with the factory technician and perhaps also make arrangements if you are having issues on your engine. You do not indicate any issues with your engine though at this time. We do understand your hesitance and apathy. This seems to be one of your major sticking points that has compounded everything to a higher degree from your post intensity on this subject. This has already been bounced to a higher level and we would appreciate more conversation on the overall topic. >Thank God for Minn Kota trolling motors.>This seems to have served you well and we appreciate your comment on the trolling motor. We are sure that the engineering staff and company will feel good in reading this comment. Actually we feel pretty good in reading your comment on the boat and your feelings of the rig overall, especially for the issues you have experienced. Overall we see a few segregated incidents after the Lowrance initial 3 unit failures and the overwhelming head, case and starter that seem to have pounded this all into the ground. Then you now have a solenoid that is failing and preventing your trailer from backing up. There should be a small key in the black owners satchel, it is a flat U shaped key with a small hole. This will go into the coupler slot to allow the brakes to back up until you can get a solenoid. Though also cross plug your tail lights (brown) to the reverse light (blue) pin with the parking lights on. This will tell you if your solenoid is out or the wiring on your truck, harness or trailer is the issue. If the trailer back up with the parking lights on, then it is not the trailer and it is the vehicle supply somewhere. If it does not back up, then it is either the solenoid or the wiring harness on the trailer. UFP is a great company which is the best system and within the last season it has become standard on all major bass boat trailers. Overall we know this reply does not have a way to ease your pain. That the issues you have faced are compounded by other factors including the distance from a dealership. It seems you have been able to have your rig worked on somewhere and that the brakes are a simple item for many mechanics. We appreciate your candor and the direction which you took this thread and next week lets see if we can manage to put this all together and get you in touch with the service staff and find a way to resolve some of this. It has already went up the hill to some of the others inside of BCB, as well so some who are with companies you have mentioned in the post. Have a great weekend and use something to keep that coupler from moving in the housing, then you can back that rig up and go fishing this weekend. Which is the goal for all of us! Do try and get on the water, it might ease your tension some and we all would feel better for you. Though we all can sympathize to some degree with your situation.
