Lime Away is the best product. If that does not get it, then you have Electrolysis and not Calcium deposits. That would mean you have an electrical issue of some type. Electrolysis is not uncommon, though it is usually not utilizing the same ground for cranking battery and trolling battery, or an electrical issue going to short or ground in a component. That is a hard one to find, the ground wire being common is simple.

Thanks for the help. Ill try the lime away first. I was afraid that SOS or fine steel wool would scratch the chrome. I take it that isnt an issue? Hopefully it isnt Electrolysis as there has been no change since I bought the boat new in late 06 and no wires have ever been switched. Thanks. -Judge Mc

It isnt chrome most of the time, it is highly polished stainless. A less slick finish is actually better for performance.2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200
