prop pitch vs elevation?

I have a cougar with a evi 225. I bought the boat from the cali delta area. I live in MT and will mostly be fishing in the 2500 elevation. I was told I will want to pitch down my prop. If so what pitch would I be looking at? Also if thats the case I assume I will need adjust my jack plate?

Year of motor? Style lower unit? Ho or not? 2250ho i would do 25 fury unless ur squeezin for speed and then 26 fury.C.O.D. Jr. III

We like a 24 series and possibly a 23 depending on the particulars of your rig.

Jackplate- per RP, raise jackplate until your psi falls below 20, or until you lose speed, or until your steering torque exceeds your forearm strength.C.O.D. Jr. III
