Mark Croxton does amazing work. Hes been in the prop business all his life. He also has designed and sells in own line of performance props. Mark lives close to me and I have visited his shop multiple times. He has an excellent set up. Most of Marks repairs are turned around in 24 hours. Mark will return your prop in better condition than when it was brand new.http://www.bassboatcentral.com/marksprops1.htm
I guess I was naive on the capability of reproducibility for one to bring back a prop to the same specs as a production one. I heard of the witchcraft in prop magic but thought that was only when someone wanted something special. I figured that a repair would fix the dings and straighten any minor bent things out to be back within production standards for that prop. The two props I had, were never touched from production and matched, I could swap them out and see no difference After some minor dings to one of them I just left it as a spare.. Then the oh well happened at a launch and at Idle nicked up the other one. So I sent this one in. Looks like I need to get some different plugs and start playing to get this one to work now. Both Props had two holes open and two holes with medium PVS plugs in them with no vent rings and preformed the same.
Ronnie Gilbert seems to be the first choice last few years on here. I had Mark Croxton do mine 4-5 years ago and he did a great job. Ran better then out of the box.
