PUMA STS W/ 300 XS Prop

Hey guys, Im thinking of getting a 26" Bravo XS for my Puma STS with a 300 Mercury pro XS. Currently I have a 24 Fury 3 and I can get 6200rpm(This is max/where the limiter kicks in right?) relatively easy. I fish Nor Cal exclusively, most of the time at Clearlake or Berryessa. My hole-shot loaded is usually not the best and I have been struggling with  bow lift and staying on pad/handling when Clearlake gets nasty, which is often. Ive read and been told a 4 blade will help with these concerns, and that I should still have plenty of RPMs to turn it. Im not a pro at prop knowledge and I am wondering if I am on the right track? If I lost a mph or two that would not be a problem with me as long as the concerns I mentioned were benefited from the 4 Blade. My other concern would be fuel Economy, would it be much better or worse with the 4 blade? Thanks to anybody who has any thoughts!
