I have run 3 pumas and am now in an FTD. Both are great boats… Both of these models have a new hull for 08… and it is fast, stable and a dry ride. Now that the ftd has rear storage behind the seats I like it better than the puma. I also like that the ftd has storage UNDER the seats. Look at the layout on the fron deck and make your choice. The net storage on the puma is nice. Both rigs are great for tournament fishing… The ftd may be a couple mph faster (fuel tanks are in the rear of the boat). Both have lighted handrails, tackle tray storage and a day box (The ftds is bigger). The Ftd also has two coolers. There are a lot of posts on both of these rigs on this site if you do a search. Are the livewell capacities the same on the 08 Cougars or did they make them a tad smaller than the Pumas?

All I can say is that my Cougar FTD looks good and feels good sitting in the garage during this crap weather!!!
