Question about Battery meter on 99 P3

So I charge the batteries on my P3 (2 year old trojan sc200) as soon as I get home, and I unplug it when the lights turn green on my Guest 3 bank. The next morning when I check them with the battery meter on the bow to make sure, each battery shows around 60%. It shows over 100% while charging. Is this normal or might I have a bad charger? Mine peg while charging, that is normal. Those meters measure battery voltage to determine amount of charge remaining. When your battery charger is charging it is putting out around 14 volts. That will peg the meter. BTW, it will take a while to peg the meter if the batteries are being charged from a low charge condition. Then the meters may show only 1/2 or so before the battery gets fully charged.

The issue is probably is in the switches and gauges. These tend to age and are not accurate in time. We have replaced many and corrected the issue.If your batteries are holding up, you should be fine.BCB
