Question about water pooling on my cover

I have a dual console FTD Cougar and a BassCat cover. No matter how tight i strap the cover down it sags between the windshields and the trolling motor. When it rains water pools in that area and seeps through the cover and gets the carpet wet. What can I do to lift up the cover so the water runs off instead of pooling?

There was a post in the front deck that supported the Deans covers. There should be a snap in there for the pole to sit under. We also try to have a folding seat or a small block under the cover on the deck to prevent puddling. This is a part of a flat cover, as there is not area to support the cover on the bow area. If this is an Aurora, then you do not have enough tension on the front to rear strap which is controlled by the engine trim cavitation strap that wraps the cavitation plate on the engine. BCB

The Aurora cover also has a snap in post mid-way between the console and the bow.

I have a aurora cover and have the same issue and my cover doesnt have a place for a post in the middle.I have the cover pulled and trimed as tight as I feel comfortable without snapping off the windshields.Ron

I got mine at Cabellas but Walmart has them also they have a rubber boot top and bottom but I recommend you put a piece of card board or similar at both ends to spread out the force. That is what mine looks like with it installed. No water pooling there and let me tell you at times we get some rain up there…

I have the Aurora cover and I will tighten it up more fromt to back. Mine also has the snap in the cover but the hole for the pole is not below it.Where can you get the snap in post for the Aurora cover?

I crawled under the cover to measure the height of the cover and made a post with a “T” on top out of PVC pipe and fittings.Not high-tech but it works fine.

Steve the gentlemen I bought my 07 Classic from had a great idea that works. He took his wifes exercise ball that like most dont get much use and put it in the low area between the snap in post and trolling motor before tightening the Aurora cover. Its about 24″ high. He passed the ball on to me and it works great. Cheap and easy solution.

Ill second the big excersize ball setup, been doing it that way for years and it works great!
