Or more likely it is the oil level on the engine tank, and that the float is coming down a little bit. Only a half inch will trigger that alarm.
Remove the cowling, loosen the cap, run the idle up to about 1500 rpm’s and let it slowly fill the reservoir. You can manually fil the reservoir, though you usually don’t have oil separate on the water.
The oil tank is filled from crankcase pressure, which is why loosening the cap works.
