Topic: Question on ordering custom color boat

Got the itch really bad for a new ride and am seriously considering a Cat and in our color design combo. Wife and I have a deal, I have always picked the boat and model, she has picked the colors, and this time we want to "design" our own color combo from the "design" page. and of course her colors have to be within reason (hot pink and purple, with yellow seats is out!!!) Question we have, how long does it typically take to complete the rig and package once it is ordered? (We are looking at a purchase within the next couple of months) I know from experience that alot depends on the time of the year the boat is ordered. Thanks! Tight lines and set the hook, HARD! Doug

Doug Typical delivery time once the boat is ordered is around 6 weeks! In addition to looking at the “Design Page” swing by the dealer and look at the actual colors from chips. Sometimes there are differences in shades. Good luck and glad to hear youre purchasing a new CAT!

Was going to ask if the dealers had samples of the actual colors. Phil, we live up in Huntsville and the nearest dealer is Bowden down in Humble? Never dealt with em, are they pretty good and reliable on service? thanks again!

Doug, In addition to Phils advice, I would suggest that you check out the “owners gallery” link at the top of this page. Its chock full of some really good photos of boats, and quite a few of the “family” were kind enough to post specific color names to go along with their pics! I found this to be an extremely useful tool in our color selection process (and Ive got to get some pics loaded and return the favor soon!). We also looked at as many Cats as we could to see different colors in person, but that can be time consuming. You will not be disappointed in a Cat, even if it is hot pink, purple and yellow (I havent seen an ugly BCB yet, and Ive been on the lookout for a good while )John Helms Hot Springs, AR

One of the best in the business! William is one of the best Mercury mechanics anywhere. I think hes been working on outboards since he was about 10 and now hes 45! His dad has been working on them for about 50 years. So there no shortage of Mercury knowledge there. They have a pretty good supply of BCB boats and they will go out of their way to see that your needs are met. They are open on Saturdays to about noon or so and their business hours are 8-5. A lot of times William is there until 8-9 PM so if you want to come after hours, just let him know.
