Topic: Quick heads up on installing new bow roller

Replaced the bow roller on my 05 Puma with the notched rollers from BC last night. I had to reuse the old bolt because the new ones were to short which was not a problem. The only hitch to watch out for is there is some downward pressure on the roller from the boat. I solved this by jacking the bow up a little with a scissors jack and block of wood. Once the pressure is off everything slides out and back in, no problem. Should work great! Of course you could do this at a ramp and it would be even easier.

Just recieved mine in the mail today and the bolt is to short also. no big deal, I can use the old one but was wondering if it was designed that way so that I put more pressure on the rollers which would keep them from spliting apart. I will use the old bolt until told to do otherwise. ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud
