What kind of oil should be used for a 07 Opti 200? I put a couple of gallons of Premium Plus in it (during break-in) and I just heard that might have been a mistake.Should I be worried?Thanks, JohnPant 2, my sister-in-law just bought a house on lake austin — its awesome. I didnt realize how good a bass lake it is — I usually head south. Maybe well hook-up and try it — have you ever fished it?

I have a 250 Pro XS and it calls for Premium Plus. Check your owners manulal to be sure though as yours could be different.Someone who knows for sure should be along shortly.Enjoy your Kitty!

There are different oil recommendations on various Optimax engines. The standard Opti engines are not 3 star and have the carbon break down in that oil, to remove the silt from those engines. The other engines are leaner and do not require the carbon issue, and thus they use the opposing oil.Simply put, one has a detergent in the oil.BCB

thanks, The tracker dealer at BPS told me today it needed efi (or something like that). Thet had a great deal on premium plus and I was going to stock-up — like 14 dollars.Pant 2, I was thinking on next Saturday, but Im not sure if Ill have my boat back — this has been a long month waiting.

Sounds like a plan Bob. Ill give you a call early in the week.I dont know the lake either but it looks pretty simple, its more like a river than a lake. Docks and grass look like the ticket. Ive read a lot of good things about it. I guess the water released from lake travis is relativly cool and the water moves pretty well.
