Rainy Lake

I need cool weather and therefor I am going to Rainy Lake. I would appreciate some tips. I am from Houston and realize that the drive will be far but fun. I was thinking that I would stay in Kansas City the first night and Minneapolis the second. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. On a side note, we hammered bass on Amistad last weekend.

dmorrow,I have never been on Rainy, but I live in Minneapolis. If you do stop in Minneapolis, Id love to get out fishing with you.
