AGFC has been denying it for decades. That is until they got one on an AR State Police dash cam earlier this year in the Mountain View area. We have several in Arkansas though they are very reclusive.
Saw a pair of mountain lions near Cedarville, AR almost twenty years ago. The bigger of the two was wearing a blaze orange radio collar, so someone knew it was there. AGFC has been in denial for a very long time.
We have always had Cougars in my area but they have come into the community with the drought. The first pic is a photo of three caught on my game camera. Second pic is one that killed a neighbors Llama. And the third is a pic of another neighbors pony that was attacked before they could drive the Cougar away.Oh and it is illegal to hunt Cougars in California and you can only shoot one with a deprivation permit after they have done the damage.
