You have a valve problem if hte water leaked out. The valve should not leak in the fill mode. The cable can be loose, or the flapper valve bad, or have something lodged against it holding it open.
The minimum is the minimum aeration on newer boats, the maximum should be max aeration on newer boats.
Older timer set ups wiht potentiometers were in the reverse with min, meaning min time between and max actually menain less aeration.
This was changed in the early 90’s sometime.
Todays should be as posted above, though you should time them to be certain, as people do make mistakes.
