Will the bass boat seats.com brand fit in the Cats? I was going to get my old ones recovered, but for the price, I can get new ones from bassboatseats.com for same if not cheaper price. Are there any other websites that have after market options. I like the BCB replacements, but a little pricy. Bryan.
I personally would wait and buy BCB seats.i know they are pricey, but all aftermarket seats look like aftermarket seats.you have to think long term, and resale also.OEM only helps resale.
I purchased those seats. They are not BCB seats but they are very comfy. They fit but if you have under seat storage as I do it becomes damp under as there is no lip to keep the box dry. If not you will be fine. Resale value would impacted but you have to consider how soon that might be.
No under seat storage, so good to go. I plan on keeping for a while as I just put new toys on it…talon and trolling motor. Im gonna pull the trigger on them. Thanks for the info
Bass Cat Boats wrote:BCB seats are the high quality vinyl (Syntec) and either style is fiberglass backs. When I sold my 88 awhile back it still had all the original seats. Even back then I feel Bcb used the best product available.and know with the new improved products I cant imagine ever needing replaced. Ive used pledge for many yrs.probably wat made those seat last.I have black seat know. Kinda crazy they dnt hardly get hot!2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury
My seats were 13 years old and the stitching was popped in a few places exposing padding along with some hook holes. I guess BCB just dont make em like they used to…..Seems like the other ones are a good option, plus that freed up some money to spend in the BCB store for goodies.
13 YO seats with a little popped stitching and hook holes is a helluva lot better than most brands. Theres no way to over-manufacture for people stepping in seats or “hooking” them. How many 10YO boats of other brands have you been in with split vinyl and padding coming out in chunks?
No doubt. If I hadnt taken out some money to do some motor repairs and buy my trolling motor, talon, etc, the seats would have been ok for a good while.
