Replacing HDS gen 3 in dash what will fit?

Good news and bad news after some work I got the HDS gen 3 out bad news was the HDS Live is slightly larger and wont fit in dash. I looked at the dimensions on the Lowrance site and the Carbon looks the same except the back has anyone replaced a HDS gen 3 in a dash with a Carbon?
