It’s really simple, I changed the seats to the new style in my ‘04 Pantera IV. The easiest way to do so is to take all the screws out on the perimeter of your seat pan. Then remove the seat pan with the seats and set it on two saw horses. The bolts on the bottom of the seats are easily removed, and there should be 2 screws in the lumbar area going right through the back into the back of the seat pan. I went ahead and changed mine to 1/4-20 stainless steel bolts and added stainless fender washers with Nylock nuts. I prefer this over stock hardware. You just need to be careful and make sure the bolts are not too long, as on my PIV the main gas tank is under the seats. I also got rid of the center seat and installed the carpeted step box. Worth every penny, and it is much more comfortable. I will also add that if your old seats are nice, list them on the garage sale board-it will help recoup some of the money you spend on the new seats. Mine sold immediately.
