Do you prefer a single or dual console in your bass boats. (Your vote has been cast.)Total votes: 154 Prefer Single Console, though have to have Dual for Family. 13(8%) Prefer Dual Console for my friends and Family. 63(41%) Prefer Single Console and have no need for Dual Console. 54(35%) Run a smaller boat and Dual Console is in my way. 6(4%) Run a larger boat and Dual Console is not a problem. 18(12%)You may select 1 optionPresently BCB builds a ratio of about 75% dual consoles, and 25% single console models. The ratio has changed since the 1980s, when is was reverse of that ratio and slowly migrated to where it is now with 3 to 1 Dual Console models. We have seen a slight change back to the single console in the more recent term of sales. What are your preferences? We know families prefer Dual Console models for the spouse and children, though what are your preferences. And what will you be selecting. Of course smaller boats tend to lean more towards single console to preserve or gain room. BCBLast edited by Bass Cat Boats on December 15th, 2009, 3:02 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Up north we need the dual consoles, I fished out of the backseat a few years ago and thought my brain was froze after a long run down the lake in cold weather. Mike
We like the dual console for the purpose of keeping the flying insects out of our face, and Annie and I both think it makes the boat look better. More Symetrical appeal.
I bought the second console on my Sabre for my wife & son. Ive found out my fishing partners prefer to have it there as well – especially in wet or cold weather. I like the small stuff storage in the glove box and have my stereo mounted inside so its out of sight and the weather. Although my rod tips are past the passenger console and extend to the outside – I really dont have a problem with this. I did add the optional flippin deck and love the extra space. It made the cooler space essentially worthless – but I use it for dry storage and carry a flat-topped cooler under the deck for drinks & snacks. Its also good for co-angler to slide tackle bag underneath.

I prefer the dual console for looks and having the glove box for small items. I would like to see BCB come up with a way to make the consule removeable.
I hate dual consoles takes up way toomuch room. Years ago had a R boat with dual console and broke 2 all star rods because the rods would not lay flat on the deck. When I got home I was so mad I took a saw-saw and cut out the passenger console! My wife goes fishing with me some and as long as I dont go to fast is ok without the console.
Since my Husband and I split the driving time 50/50 we love the Dual Console. The person who isnt getting to have all the fun driving can a least keep the bugs out of their teeth .
