Rick Pierce Made My Day

I had camera boat duties for the Classic and that is always awesome to have a front row seat of the tourney and I will talk about that later. I went to the Expo Friday and was checking out the BCB boats and Rick walked up. He made my day by showing me a picture on his phone of a sign from Young Harris College. YHC is where my son BR200 went to school and they have hosted two BASS College Nationals and will host the BASS AOY tourney this September.Rick said they went by there on the way to SC and he had to ride through the campus. BR200 had been by the BCB booth earlier and he surprised him with the picture. I though tit was awesome that he took the time to ride through YHC and take the picture of the sign and show it to us......

That is awesome. There is something special about Young Harris. My son graduates in May so his days at YHC are limited. He has been proudly representing YHC in a BCB all 4 years. He will be in the Cougar representing YHC on the Red River for the FLW National Championship at the end of May. Shortly after that, he is off to the US Navy for Officer Candidate School. Our kids grow up fast!

Bob – I was surprised to look up at the screen in the arena when this familiar face riding around with Hank Parker was handing the gentlemen who got to cast for cash a big $5000 check. I said to my wife and folks around me “Hey, I know that guy!” BR200 did a great job too. That had to be fun to ride around the Bassmasters Classic arena in that boat. Hell, it was fun watching!

Yep, I was on the phone with him Sunday and he said I got to go. I am going with Hank Parker to do the Berkley Cast For Cash contest during the weigh in. Pretty cool stuff.I have met a lot of his Berkley friends and some of their pro staff. Some of them knew we were from the Hartwell area but they didnt realize that Brad actually grew up on the lake.
