Rodman Reservoir / Florida

Alright boys and girls , needing some input . -- Wanting to go to Florida in February and catch some big-uns !! -- Looking for any and all advice . -- Found a place to stay on Rodman , but not averse to traveling around to other waters , like maybe St. Johns River . -- Looks like a fantastic area to go play for a week or so . -- Thanks in advance for your input . -- Hoss

Rodman Pool and the Okalawaha River can be excellent at times. As can be Silver Springs and Lake George in areas.

I really don’t care a lot for Rodman. It is great to fish but very hard to get around, anything outside the channel and you will hit stumps and logs. The channel is well marked yet often times we get floaters. My favorite with no doubt is going to St. Johns river. Launching from the Palatka city docks is not far from Rodman.
