Rub Rail Issue – BCB Help Needed

Get some black Gorilla tape to hold it in place for now.

Rub rail must have been installed on a very cold day.When it is stretched out cut the left over off and snap it back in.Course Im talking out my arse but sounds good.

It looks like a bad place in either the insert or the molding. Just wither run a piece of black tape over the rub rail, or silicone the piece inside the channel. They will want to see this at the factory since its new. Odds are a soft insert and if the other side is holding its a vendor molding issue. Sorry for the issue!

Yikes was hoping it would not need to go back to the factory. Thatll have to happen after KABCOT. I guess Ill try the silicone route for now. If I haul it back to factory can it be replaced the same day so I can just haul it back home afterwards? Definitely just use some clear silicone. A thin amount will hold just fine if left to dry. Use mineral spirits to clean up any excess.

They probably wont require the boat back at the factory. That would be extreme if the rub rail itself were an issue. Most issues are related to the insert and thats simple.

Im thinking a design flaw or a bad batch. My new Caracal has the exact same issue. Has as there been any follow up on your issue?

My sabre did the same thing last year when I first got it, I took it back to my dealer and said FIX IT!
