Running Mercury 250 ProXS Four Stroke With Garden Hose
I hooked up the muffs and garden hose to my Mercury 250 Pro XS Four Stroke today after performing the first oil change. I opened the water supply valve slightly and started the motor to look for oil leaks. There was no water flow coming out of the tell tale hole. I checked the positioning of the muffs as well as regulated the water flow and still got no discharge. I took the boat to the local lake and put it in, hit the key and immediately had water discharging the tell tale hole. I shut the boat off and returned home. I decided to try the process again at home and I had the same results, no tell tale discharge with the garden hose and muffs. What am I missing?
