Yes it happens and like Chris mentioned, you just take a step back and it helps. I had this same problem on my old Champion also. I think most boats get this with some of the wakes this newer wake boarding boats put off.I wish they would put a limit on the size of the wake a boat can produce. It seems they just keep getting bigger and bigger every year. My 06 Sabre does the same thing. When I am fishing with the trolling motor down and see a big wake coming I try to position the front of my boat on an angle, so the wake doesnt hit the bow straight on. This usually helps me but sometimes the wake is just too friggin big.

The bigger the boat the less this will happen. Not that it is impossible but the frequency goes down quite a bit between the Sabre and the Puma. That goes for all manufactuers not just BCB. I have always said it is hard to substitude length for rough water driving and fishing.A buddy and I was fishing a tournament on Amistad this spring in 50 mph winds and did our best to stay out on those main lake flats and when the waves started breaking at our knees we gave up. It is only going to get worse. 22 boats with 800 pound outboards on the back, 600 pounds of fuel in the tanks, and 4 batteries back there as well, are going to tend to make wakes that look like barges on the TN river. 2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200
