I ran a 2003 sabre for 8 years and ran tempest props. started with 23, went to 25 and ran 67 with full load under fall conditions. ran most of the time with a 24 and still turned mid 60s full loaded. never treid a 4 blade (trophy) as I never needed to.What year are you running and what is hanging off the back? What are you trying to accomplish? Little more info and one of us can probably help you outTreat everyday like it might be the last
Year model is 2010, 150 ProXS. Just wondering about it. I have been playing with the plate to get the best all around performance and wondered about the 4 blade. I ran my plate higher on my Triton and I was just thinking the 4 blade might let you run it higher. I am running a 23 pitch Tempest currently. I have a spare 23 I probably need to get worked on or I thought about trading it for a 4 blade if the Sabre liked them. Just wondering out loud…….Thanks, Dennis S.
I have a 09 Sabre with a 150EFI (for sale by the way cause we lost our jobs),sorry had to do that.My boat has a Trophy 23 pitch set a quarter above flush, hell of a hole shot, runs 61 gps with me at 230,half tank, livewells full, and gear.
Dennis, I have an 08 Sabre FTD with an ETEC 150 HO and run a 24P Trophy Plus. I run it about 1/4″ above level on the plate. I regularly see 63 mph with this set up. The Trophy give better lift on the hole shot and corners better. I know I am giving up 1 or 2 mph on the top end, but I usually run out of lake up here in the great white north . To me, it feels more solid and provides a smoother overall ride. If I can help in any way, let me know.Wayne
