sabre with a 150 EFI 2007

have any of you guys tried a hight 5 prop on this setup or any year of sabre and if so what was the out come. i have at the momet a 3 blade 23 tempest. it works ok i guess. I tried a 23 4 blade thropy and the boat did not like that prop at all i wouldent even go up on plan that well. It would be great to get some feed back on a hight 5. thanks

Please share more numbers…do you have a jackplate? What kind of rpms are you seeing at wot(wide open throttle)? How is the holeshot and “break over” times looking? Are you doing any water sport activities or strictly fishing? I think if an extra blade(s) gets you better take off, your top end will drop some. The 23 tempest will give that hull a blistering holeshot and scoot the boat to low mid 60s. Ive never messed with my vent plugs…..no need to…..I can load the boat up with gas, tackle, two big people, fill the live wells and the boat still has a good holeshot.Ditto on what jignpig said…need more numbers in order to help out. This boat should have a hole shot like Chuck indicates. It has something that is restricting that hole shot. The Sabre has an excellent hole shot. You might want to visit with a dealership. If it is a boat from a tournament package, then you want to make sure it went through dealer prep. Let us know more about your boat and your settings, and we will try to help. Cable steering? Jackplate? And any other info you would be able to add. You could also call the factory and see what they can add one on one if you like BCB
