Having been in several of our Yar-Craft boats the past few seasons with Sea Dek, I can tell you I would not want it in any boat that I used for any length of time. For a boat that only gets 20-30 days of use per year, it would be fine. Wake boat or ski boat where you’re generally barefoot, fine. It doesn’t seem to hold up well to extended use, from what I’ve seen. Not the easiest to keep clean for someone who actually uses a boat and gets it dirty. Also doesn’t do well with freezing temps and water, as it becomes a skating rink.
When we first began using it for the Yar-Craft boats, I thought it would be an easy cross over into Bass Cat. After seeing it in use for several seasons, I’ll stick with carpet.
