Series of questions by new P4 owner

The one on my new P4 is not working at all so it will need to be replaced. I am going to sell the 3 bank charger with my old boat when I get it sold.

replace the charger with whatever charger you want to replace it with. The Pro Pak is a good charger and carries a 3 year warranty. It is now comes from a company named Noco.

The on board charger will not see a low battery below a safety setting in the charger. This is to prevent overheating and other issues. The on board charger requires the battery to have some voltage. You can activate the battery with a stand alone charger and see if you can revive it. Then the charger might recognize it. You can also switch out the leads and see if the compatibility of that battery and the charger lead is an issue. We would tech it before determining that the charger is faulty. BCB

There a no red or green lights on any of the 4 banks of the charger. There is power going to the charger but nothing going out. I checked this with meter on 2 of the batteries.

What are the volts on your batteries. Lets start there.

BCB,Voltages at the 3 trolling motor batteries are within limits around 12.8v. Voltage at crankin battery is where I have variance. If you will look at my previous post on battery problem or something else it will show that as a seperate problem. I have 120v/ac going into the battery charger and 0 volts d/c coming out. No display of either red or green lights on either of the 4 banks. I am pretty sure that the on board charger is inop.

You seem to be chasing a gremlins that could just be a battery issue. How many volts is the battery after sitting for a few hours off the charger? If hte battery has voltage, swap the leads on the batteries from the ones that are not working to the ones that are. Check the in line fuses and then see what you have. You will have to have over 10.8 volts to get the charger to fire in most cases. Once you have a battery that is hot, we can begin to diagnose more, though we are not sure you have anything at all wrong. Go to the other post on the security system and see the level of milliamp drain you have.
