Shreveport,LA Needs Help

Man I am tired of working my butt off to pay a so called "expert" to take care of my boat.I had him install a LCX 38c HD on my boat Monday and after work decided to head to the river to see how it works.Well as luck has it the GPS wont connect and figure well I really just want to see the sonar anyways. So I switch screens and in 20 foot of water Im reading 60 ft. So I get on the phone and of course everything worked great at the shop for him.Well I tried a few things that he told me and nothing was working so I finally just gave up and headed home.I made a few post on other sites asking what could be wrong with the unit and had plenty of guys that were very helpful.I started tracing wires from the gps antenna and he had it running to a T connector with a wire from the head unit on the other side leaving one side of the T open.Well I grab my book and see it should have a terminator on the open side and sure enough the gps fired right up.So now to the transducer problem I start looking at the placement of the transducer at the back of the boat. Now I remind you he does this for a living everyday.I realize he mounted the transducer on top of the metal base on my back seat pedestal. So I called him to tell him what I found and that I got the GPS working and he pretty much told me I was full of it.He said he had his book in front of him and that there is no way that terminator had to be on the T connector and the way it was is right. So tom. Im carrying him back the boat and hopefully everything is corrected and Im going to make sure the terminator is disconnected and let him show me how he did everything right. From now on I will be making a hour + drive to get my work done at a BCB dealer. So if any of you guys are good boat mechanics/riggers Shreveport really could use some help.Sorry guys I just needed to RANT.
