Not uncommon to see 2-4lb smallmouth weighed in. I have seen weights of 16lb of smallmouth weighed in at past OIs. Thats for one day. Also have some of those toothy critter, walleye, if you get tired of bass fishing…. Pretty much fish the same way you do up north and you should be fine. Sorry about that, just could not help myself ! What I meant to say is these Small Mouth in the South are very different from the ones up North you are use to. I have caught them in both places and maybe in some of the same waters you fish. These fish in the South are very shy when it comes to you Northern guys !!!! thanx good luck 4 u2. Im jus hopin 2 get on a deep pattern for them but im mainly gonna go after largemouth and kentuckies prolly. Hopefully its as good as lake erie lol. thatll be tough 2 do. Never been to a better brownie lake than lake erie and chataqua.
