SmartCraft fuel quantity

2006 FTD Cougar. My SmartCraft gauge shows "low fuel" when I still have about 1/3 of a tank or better. Its the same for both tanks. Can the system be calibrated?

Yes, though on SC gauges we dont know how.

A way to check the accuracy of your Smart Craft Fuel gauge is to use the fuel used readout on the gauge. I zero it out after every fill up and compare the reading to the amount fuel the tank took to fill.
